<p>If you have never been on a <a href="http://swimnsofficials.com/tag/cruise/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with cruise">cruise</a> before you really must try it. I would not recommend it as a family <a href="http://swimnsofficials.com/tag/vacation/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with vacation">vacation</a>, but I have seen families on cruises. Cruising might suit a family with older children or you might find a <a href="http://swimnsofficials.com/tag/cruise/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with cruise">cruise</a> which is planned with children in mind. However, in my experience, your average cruiser is over 50 and married.</p>
<p>I know that they do 18-30 cruises and all kinds of themed cruises, but if you just go on a normal <a href="http://swimnsofficials.com/tag/cruise/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with cruise">cruise</a>, most of your fellow passengers will be older. Many of them are commemorating something too - retirement, Golden Wedding Anniversary, 70th birthday, that sort of thing. These people want a peaceful time and do not really want children running around and jumping in and out of the pool. Dinner can be late and the evening&#8217;s entertainment is not child orientated either. If you want to take children, look for a specialty <a href="http://swimnsofficials.com/tag/cruise/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with cruise">cruise</a>.</p>

Luxury and pampering and world class food. I put on five pounds on a two week <a href="http://swimnsofficials.com/tag/cruise/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with cruise">cruise</a> and friends said that was abnormally little! I will tell you about the food on my last <a href="http://swimnsofficials.com/tag/cruise/" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with cruise">cruise</a>.</p>
<p>Breakfast lasted from 7 AM to 10 AM and there was a buffet with food from all around the world: fruit, porridge, toast, bacon and eggs, ham, cornflakes and all the variations, sausages, rice, Chinese food, prawns, fish and more. Elevenses started at 11 AM and had tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits, help yourself.</p>
<p>Lunch was a two hour affair starting at 1PM consisting of four courses. There was a choice of set plans, but if you wanted to mix and match you could - I think the plans were only to make it easier for the elderly to make up their minds. With 1,200 people to give food to in two sittings, the waiters try to speed selection up in very subtle ways, but never outwardly. High tea was from 4 to 4:30PM: tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits and sandwiches.</p>
<p>Dinner was at 6:30PM and was a five course meal in the same vein as lunch and at midnight there was a barbecue on deck until 2AM. Everything that was presented was first class and there was no restriction at all on how much you could eat.</p>
<p>Entertainment was after dinner and there were two shows to match the two dinner sittings, but you could sit there for both shows if you liked. There was a different show every night ranging from solo artistes to bands. There were theater plays and musical shows, it was very grand. There was also a piano bar playing jazz and a disco every night</p>

Not only one but several. Some even set aside a deck for running at certain times of the day. During the evenings there are first class shows, often two a night, movies in a cinema and a casino.</p>

It is more than a first class hotel. Flip from game to game, and you see pretty much the same thing: a standard size ball, players on the court, a 10-foot hoop and the foul line 15 feet away from the backboard. Take a closer look, though, and you&rsquo;ll start to see differences in college and professional play.</p>
<p>There are quite a lot of differences given that the history of the sport. According to Wikipedia, basketball was invented in December 1891 by Dr. James Naismith, a Canadian-born physical education professor and instructor at the International Young Men&#8217;s Christian Association Training School[3] (YMCA) (today, Springfield College) in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, was trying to keep his gym class active on a rainy day sought a vigorous indoor game to keep his students occupied and at proper levels of fitness during the long New England winters.</p>
<p>First off, in the NBA, the game is divided into four 12-minute quarters. In the NCAA, there are two 20-minute halves. The length of the game is different, but they both share an overtime period that lasts five minutes.</p>

<p>The court is the same size in both organizations (94 feet long by 50 feet wide), basket height, backboard distance and the foul line are all the same, as well. Look closer, though, when college and pro teams take a 3-point shot. NBA players take a 3-point shot from 23&rsquo;9&rdquo; (22&rdquo; in the corners) and the NCAA&rsquo;s 3-point shot is from a distance of 19&rsquo;9&rdquo;. The lane width in the NBA is 16 feet wide, and at the collegiate level it&rsquo;s 12 feet.</p>

Like Lebron James, Bryce is already called professional baseball&#8217;s chosen one. January 29, 2010 at 7:00 PM he started at a place where most &#8220;should be high school juniors&#8221; wish they could be, playing junior college baseball on the number one junior college team in the United States.</p>
<p>The junior college team has all starting sophomore players and then a junior in high school, which of course is Bryce Harper. Bryce is very fortunate is having one of those college sophomores as his brother Bryan. He transferred from Cal State Northridge just to play with his younger brother.</p>
<p>Bryce has very good power for how young he is, that is why he batted the third in his first junior college baseball game. Think about this, at the age of 17, batting 3rd, the most important spot in all of baseball, having a sold out crowd and over 100 pro scouts watching your every move. Bryce will have to deal with this pressure every game he plays until he is drafted.</p>
<p>With his current teammates, he did play fall baseball with them. He batted .375 with ten homeruns in those 10 fall league baseball games. You do have to remember he should only be a junior in college and he is playing with people 3 years older than he is.</p>
<p>With his success in high school and early success in college, Harper is expected to be the number one pick in the 2010 major league baseball draft. In the first week of June, it is projected that the Washington Nationals will be drafting Bryce Harper with the first pick. At the age of 17 he could be the number one draft pick and a millionaire! What an accomplishment if this does happen. A player and a fan drawer is what the Washington Nationals do need at the moment as they are struggling. Drafting Harper would help them a lot.</p>
<p>With his future in front of him and him being so young, Bryce is lucky enough to have a coach that keeps him levelheaded. Tim Chambers has helped Bryce keep his mind on the game and baseball ready. The coach of the Coyote&#8217;s has made sure that Bryce does not have interviews from the press and most importantly has helped him grow in the game of baseball. Even though Harper has his head on his shoulders, he does need a coach like Chambers.</p>
<p>With his support system and a successful start in junior college baseball, Bryce Harper is well on his way to being baseball&#8217;s chosen one. It is my educated guess Bryce will do a lot more than be successful in baseball. I am betting he wouldn&#8217;t mind helping the Coyotes win a junior college national championship and then help the Nationals win their first World Series. Or at least he would help them not finish in last.</p>
